Owner & Founder, O’Brien Physical Therapy and Wellness
I’m passionate about helping women feel strong, capable, and at home in their bodies — and I’ve built my career around the education and experience to make that happen.

I’ve also completed extensive continuing education in:
Women’s wellness is my passion — period. I’m most passionate about working with women who are ready to stop settling for “normal” when they know something isn’t right. Whether it’s pain, pelvic floor changes, hormonal shifts, or just not feeling like yourself — my role is to help you see that you’re not broken and you’re not falling apart; they simply need the right support, a
better plan, and someone who’s willing to listen.
My inspiration for this work started with my Grandma Florence — affectionately known as “Firey Flo.” She was a nurse, a mom of six, a farmer’s wife, and the kind of woman who spoke her mind and never backed down when it came to advocating for her patients. She showed me early on what it meant to care deeply and fight for people’s health, and that’s exactly what I’ve built my career around.
I was also fortunate to have an incredible mentor, Dr. Steve Cassabaum, who taught me the value of thinking differently about patient care and always striving for the highest standard. That mindset has shaped everything about how I practice today.
What keeps me motivated are my patients — especially those who come in after seeing multiple providers but still don’t feel heard. Every time we’re able to offer a new perspective, find the missing piece, and help them feel like themselves again, it confirms that we’re doing the work we’re meant to do.
I founded O’Brien Physical Therapy and Wellness because I wanted to create a space where patients could receive the level of care they truly deserve. Insurance restrictions, institutional red tape, and poor communication between providers were getting in the way of the care people truly deserved.
Our bodies don’t work in isolation — and neither should healthcare. Nutrition, hormones, daily movement, past experiences, work, lifestyle, daily stressors… it all matters. If we don’t address the whole person, we’re not treating the root cause.
At OPT, we do things differently. We take time to listen, to dig deeper, and to treat the whole person — not just a list of symptoms. My goal is to help women feel strong, confident, and in control of their health again, no matter what stage of life they’re in.
When you work with me, expect honesty, clarity, and collaboration. I’m a big believer in explaining the why behind what you’re experiencing — not just naming your symptoms. When you understand your body, your anatomy, and how you got here, you’re far more likely to create meaningful, long-term change (not just a quick fix).
I’ll always hold a safe, judgment-free space, and I’m not afraid to mix in a little humor or tough love when it’s needed. My ultimate goal is to equip you with the knowledge and confidence to tune into your body and recognize where shifts need to happen.
One of the most rewarding moments of my career involved a patient who had struggled with pain during intimacy for years. She had seen numerous providers, therapists, and counselors, and had come to believe that her body simply wasn’t capable of change.
Together, we approached her care from a new angle — addressing the physical, emotional, and whole-body factors that were contributing to the problem. Over time, she was able to experience pain-free intimacy for the first time. Seeing that transformation ripple through every part of her life — from her confidence to her relationships — was an incredible reminder of why this work matters.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find me outdoors and planning my next adventure. Biking, hiking, live music, and travel all fill my cup. I also love cozy nights on the couch with my son — especially when we’re binge-watching a great series together (Ted Lasso, The Mandalorian, and Young Sheldon are a few favorites).
YOU. You are the reason we’re here. You asked for something different — more answers, more support, more whole-person care — and we built our practice around that. We’re here to help you feel strong, supported, and back in control of your health.
